After the blockade of Leningrad was lifted, a group of specialists from Lentransproekt (since 1951 - Lengiprotrans) was engaged in the restoration of the destroyed transport infrastructure together with the troops. According to the projects of this group, military units carried out temporary restoration of bridges destroyed by German troops during the retreat. Among these structures was a large bridge over the Narva River. The design and construction of these structures was carried out on a very tight schedule.
