Leningrad-Varshavsky - Shosseinaya - the former head section of the Varshavskaya line, which ran from the former Varshavsky railway station to the south of St. Petersburg.
The general plan for the development of Leningrad, approved by the Council of Ministers of the USSR in 1966, reflected the idea of the phased liquidation of the Warsaw line due to its lack of demand. In accordance with it, in 1966-1968, according to the Lengiprotrans project, the Leningrad-Varshavsky - Shosseinaya section was transferred to a new highway. The new section passed through the stopping points Bronevaya, Prospekt Geroev (now Leninsky Prospekt), Predportovaya, Airport, Shosseinaya. The tracks of the Varshavskaya line were laid on a common widened track along with the tracks of the Baltic direction, going from the Baltic railway station in St. Petersburg.
In the 1980s, Varshavskaya Street was formed on the former Leningrad-Varshavsky - Shosseinaya section, the territory was built up with residential buildings.
