Electrification of the Leningrad-Moscow railway line

The Leningrad - Malaya Vishera railway line is the current section of the main course of the Oktyabrskaya railway Moscow - St. Petersburg.
In 1960, the line was electrified according to the Lengiprotrans project as part of the transfer to electric traction of the Moscow - Leningrad route. Also in 1961, according to the project of the institute, a branch with a length of 20 km from the Tosno station of the Leningrad-Malaya Vishera line to the Shapki station was electrified. All sections are electrified for DC voltage of 3 kV.
