Ivangorod-Narvsky is a border station of the Oktyabrskaya Railway (OZhD) in the Kingisepp District of the Leningrad Region.

After the collapse of the USSR, the railways were disconnected at the borders with the Baltic countries and the CIS, which required the establishment of new border crossings in a short time. On the instructions of the Ministry of Railways of the Russian Federation, Lengiprotrans developed a project for the reconstruction of a number of border stations, including the Ivangorod-Narvsky station. This was necessary to increase the throughput at the border crossing of the Narva direction, as well as to improve the working conditions of the railway, border, customs and other services.

As part of the reconstruction, the following works were performed:

  • laying of additional tracks and turnouts;
  • construction of an administrative building;
  • fencing of the inspection area;
  • improvement of the station territory;
  • construction of a maintenance point, compressor and boiler room;
  • construction of an automatic system for commercial inspection of trains and wagons (ASKO PV);
  • installation of equipment for remote visual observation of the restricted areas of the station.

In the course of the design, conceptual solutions were developed for the schemes and technologies of operation of interstate transfer stations, which were approved by the State Customs Committee of the Russian Federation and the Directorate of Border Troops.

The reorganization of the station made it possible to reduce the time for passing through customs and border control from 4 to 2.5 hours. Thanks to this, the capacity of the station has increased to 26 train pairs per day.
