Svetogorsk is a railway station of the Oktyabrskaya railway in the Vyborg district of the Leningrad region on the border with Finland.
In 1993, on behalf of the Ministry of Railways of the Russian Federation, Lengiprotrans developed a project for the reconstruction of a number of stations for the construction of new border crossings that arose as a result of the collapse of the USSR. In particular, the reconstruction of the Svetogorsk railway checkpoint with the improvement of the station territory was designed. Normal working conditions were provided for the railway border, customs and other services.
The station was projected:
• administrative building with the accommodation of border, customs and railway services;
• EC post (electrical interlocking);
• modular compressor stations;
• pavilion for service dogs;
• fire-fighting tanks;
• treatment facilities;
• improvement of the station territory;
• station lighting;
• arrangement of inspection bridges;
• inclusion of paths and switches in EC-EM (relay-processor centralization of arrows and signals);
• reconstruction of the railway crossing at 24 km.
