The Ekibastuz railway junction is a large junction on the Astana-Pavlodar line, in the Pavlodar region of Kazakhstan. The city of Ekibastuz is the center of a large fuel and energy complex, known all over the world.
He was engaged in design work on the reconstruction and development of the Lengiprotrans unit for a long time, especially in the period 1977-1985. This was due to the resolution issued in 1977 by the Central Committee of the CPSU and the Council of Ministers of the USSR "On the creation of the Ekibastuz fuel and energy complex and the construction of a 1500 kilovolt DC power transmission line Ekibastuz - Center".
The department of nodes and stations of the institute designed the reconstruction of the stations of the Ekibastuz railway junction. During the development of the project, the idea of building a ring-type railway junction with two exits to the network of the Ministry of Railways and an exit to the Ekibastuz GRES-1 and GRES-2 and open coal mines was implemented.
