Krustpils is a junction station of the Latvian Railway, located within the city of Jēkabpils. Directions Riga - Daugavpils and Jelgava - Rezekne pass through it.
In the postwar years, Lentransproekt (since 1951 - Lengiprotrans) participated in the design of the restoration of water supply and sewerage facilities destroyed during the war. In particular, a reconstruction project was prepared at the Krustpils station.
In total, the institute carried out restoration work at 14 water supply and sewerage facilities in the Latvian SSR.
The design work for the capital restoration of water supply and sewerage facilities was preceded by:
• survey of water supply sources and sewerage water intakes;
• drawing up technical characteristics of devices;
• topographic survey for the designed devices;
• survey of existing devices of water supply and sewerage networks;
• engineering and geological survey of construction sites;
• drilling of exploration and production wells, if necessary.
